You think in decades and still get stuck on Monday.

Every birthday from 1950 to 2010, counted day by day.
You can often see how something big could work, a business or a system that would make life easier for a lot of people, long before anyone else can. You share the 4's trust in effort and in things built properly, and you apply it at a much larger scale: a 4 wants a solid house, while part of you keeps sketching the whole street. An ordinary, comfortable life can leave you feeling you're wasting yourself, and then guilty for thinking it.
That sense is both fuel and weight. Once you've seen the full size of a plan, every small first step looks inadequate next to it, so you can think in decades and still stall on the first Monday. Some 22s push themselves without mercy, others wait for a perfect moment that never arrives, and plenty swing between the two.
People tend to misjudge you in one of two directions. Some see a practical, steady person and have no idea how large your ambitions are. Others catch a glimpse of the plans and decide you're unrealistic. You're a dreamer who also reads the fine print, and you know exactly how much work the big thing would take, which is part of why it weighs on you.
The master number label is traditional, and for you it describes pressure more than any kind of rank. Big things get built on ordinary days, and your vision tends to become real one unglamorous step at a time, usually with other people's hands as well as your own.

Questions
How do I know if I'm a 22 or a 4?
Look at the total before the final step. If your reduced month, day and year add up to exactly 22, you're a 22 in this method, and it isn't reduced to 4. For July 8, 1987: July is 7, the day is 8, and 1987 adds to 25, which becomes 7. Then 7 + 8 + 7 = 22. Totals of 13, 31 or 40 give a 4.
What does it mean that 22 is a master number?
It's a traditional label for 11, 22 and 33, the totals kept whole instead of reduced. It doesn't make a 22 better than anyone else. It describes a 4's practical, building nature with a bigger reach and more pressure attached. The hard part tends to be living with a constant sense of what you could be doing.
Which Life Path numbers suit a 22?
22s often do well with 4s and 2s, who share their love of steady effort, and with 11s and 6s, who bring warmth and imagination. A 22 needs a partner who respects long hours without fading into the background. Restless 5s can feel unsettling to a 22, and a very spontaneous partner may be hard for a 22 to plan around.
