What's my Life Path number?

Your Life Path number comes from your date of birth: reduce the month, day and year to single digits (keeping 11, 22 and 33), add them, and reduce again. It describes your basic nature and the lessons you keep meeting. Enter your birthday to see yours, worked out step by step.

Your other numbers

Your Birthday number is simply the day you were born, from 1 to 31. It points to a particular talent, the thing you do without trying.

Your Attitude number adds your birth day and month and reduces them to one digit. It describes the first impression you give, which is often not how you feel inside.

Your Personal Year adds your birth month and day to the current year. It runs in a nine-year cycle from starting over (1) to clearing space (9), and it changes every 1 January.

Questions

How is the Life Path number calculated?

Reduce the month, the day and the year of your birth to one digit each, keeping 11, 22 and 33 whole. Add the three, then reduce the total the same way. Born 23 November 1990: 11 stays 11, 23 becomes 5, 1990 becomes 1, and 11 + 5 + 1 = 17, which becomes 8.

Why does another calculator give me a different number?

Some calculators add every digit of the date in one go instead of reducing the month, day and year first. The two methods agree most of the time, but for 13% of birthdays from 1950 to 2010 they give different answers, usually because one keeps a master number and the other doesn't. We use the month, day and year method, which is the most common.

What are master numbers?

11, 22 and 33 are called master numbers. Numerologists don't reduce them, and read them as a stronger, more demanding version of 2, 4 and 6. The name is traditional, not a ranking: they tend to come with more pressure as well as more range.

Is numerology the same as astrology?

No. Numerology works only from the numbers in your date of birth, so it needs no birth time or place. Astrology reads where the planets were at the moment you were born. Skyprint shows both, side by side, so you can see where they agree.
