Life Path 2 The Peacekeeper

You usually know how everyone in a room is feeling before much has been said, and you adjust without thinking about it, softening a sentence here and filling a silence there, so that things stay easy between people. It comes so naturally that you may not count it as a skill. When the people around you are at ease, you can relax too. When they aren't, part of you stays on duty until they are.

The catch is that you read other people far better than you read yourself. Ask what you want for dinner, or out of the next five years, and your first move is often to check what the other person seems to want. You long to be close to people, and closeness is also where you most easily lose track of where they end and you begin.

People tend to mistake your gentleness for having no strong opinions. You have plenty. You're weighing whether saying them is worth the friction, and most of the time you decide it isn't. You also notice small slights that others forget and keep them longer than anyone realizes, because letting something go out loud is far easier for you than letting it go inside.

When you're doing well, you're the person who makes partnerships and teams work, patient and tactful, with a fine sense of when to speak. Over and over, your life shows you that peace bought by staying silent tends to come undone later, and that saying what you think early usually keeps things calmer in the end.
